Introducing Timy user access management for workspace admins

Timy- Slack: User access management for admins

🔒 👥🔑
Today we are introducing a new feature to control individual Timy user access in your workspace. This will be only available for the workspace admins under Timy PRO plan.

As the admin of your Slack workspace sometimes you don't want some of your team members to post scheduled messages in your workspace. This may due to various reasons like you need them to be online at all times or you think they might be idling and post scheduled messages to show that they are working as intended.

That's why we are introducing this new feature for the workspace admins so they can choose which users in your workspace can use Timy to send scheduled messages.

If you're an admin you can enable this feature by going into the Timy preferences page.

Timy - Slack: Access control section

There is a new section called "Access Control" and this is only visible for the workspace admins.
You will find 4 options to choose from under this section.
  1. Allow all users - This will enable Timy for all team members and this is the default option. Your workspace will be automatically switched to this option whenever you workspace is downgraded to the Free plan.
  2. Block all users - This will block Timy for all team members including you and other admins.
  3. Allow all users except... - If you need to allow Timy for most of the team mates and disable for a limited number of people you can choose this option. In this option you'll only need to select the black listed people.
  4. Block all users except... - If you need to block Timy for most of the team mates and allow for a limited number of people you can choose this option. In this option you'll only need to select the white listed people.

If you block certain users from using Timy, they won't be able to schedule new messages and their existing scheduled messages won't be delivered as well.

We hope this feature will help admins to take control of the scheduled messages and if you have any concerns or suggestions please comment below or send them via support@serandibsoft.com.

Happy Scheduling!

Introducing "One Click" revoke access button

🚨🚨🚨 Today we are introducing a new "One Click" revoke access button for Timy. Previously to opt-out from Timy you had to go into the Timy settings page for your workspace and from there you had to find your name and revoke access carefully. This was a very painful task. To put an end for that, we have added a new button called "Revoke Timy Access" under the preferences page . From there you can easily disconnect yourself from Timy and revoke all the permissions you have given. This will clear out your current message queue and take precautions before you proceed since this is an irreversible action. This will also cancel any Timy PRO subscription plan you have activated as well. We hope there won't be any need for you to use this button since you love using Timy for send scheduled messages in Slack. 😏

Take control of your Timy Emails

📧📧📧 Today we are introducing a new email preferences section in your Timy settings page. Previously you didn't have much control on what type of emails you'll receive from Timy. With new email preferences section, you can easily customize what type of emails you would want to receive from Timy. They are categorized under two sections called Application and News. Under Application section you can find most critical emails you'll receive from Timy regarding the application functionality such as billing emails, message delivery failed emails and etc. We recommend you to turn on these application emails since they will give you an insight on the application behavior. Under News and Updates section you'll find the option to opt-in or opt-out from our newsletter and promotion emails. Now you don't need to worry about the emails you'll receive through Timy and you have the full control over them. Happy Scheduling!
